What success did we aim to create?
We were commissioned to create a complete retail brand transformation for Neptun, repositioning the business as a forward-thinking, omnichannel retailer. The aim was to increase footfall, improve conversion, and drive higher average basket size by designing a store concept that was ready for future customer behaviours and adaptable to any store size or location.
How did we create the success?
As a retail design agency focused on strategic outcomes, we delivered a customer-first concept rooted in behavioural insight and commercial opportunity.
Our approach included:
- Designing scalable store formats across small, medium, and large footprints
- Creating a circular customer journey that encouraged exploration and return visits
- Integrating digital touchpoints to bridge online and offline experiences
- Establishing real-life adjacencies for intuitive cross-selling (e.g. iron to washing machine)
- Introducing clear, layered signage and wayfinding to guide navigation
- Strategic zoning and impulse areas to capture attention and drive add-on sales
- Locating service functions within product zones to maximise engagement and conversion
We created a flexible, brand-led system that works across Neptun’s entire store estate.
What were the results?
- The new concept received outstanding customer feedback and improved dwell time
- Conversion and cross-category sales increased across pilot stores
- The design is now being rolled out as the brand standard across all store types
