Fast, Fresh and Visually Aligned

Mega Image, Mega Apetit - Romania

What success did we aim to create?

Mega Image engaged us to develop a compelling façade and signage concept for its new Mega Apetit retail format, positioned within a busy food hall. The aim was to create strong brand visibility that aligned with the existing Shop&Go identity while clearly introducing Mega Apetit as a fresh, ready-to-eat food destination to compete directly with fast food outlets.

How did we create the success?

As a retail design agency with an existing relationship with Mega Image, we extended the Shop&Go design language to accommodate the new Mega Apetit brand.

Key design strategies included:

  • Visual Continuity: The façade maintained key Shop&Go design cues for brand recognition while introducing Mega Apetit’s distinct colour palette.
  • Category Communication: Updated window artwork was used to clearly communicate the ready-to-eat, fresh food proposition to passing footfall.
  • Customer-Centric Branding: The concept was developed with the end-user in mind, aiming to balance familiarity with freshness, and draw attention in a competitive food hall environment.
  • Scalability: The solution was designed to be easily applied to future locations across varying retail footprints.

What were the results?

The new Mega Apetit store at Plaza Romania in Bucharest successfully bridged the gap between fast food convenience and supermarket quality. The format was well received by customers, with increased footfall and strong engagement in a high-traffic retail setting.
