What success did we aim to create?
We set out to deliver a retail brand transformation for Habitat’s global flagship stores in. Our objective was to balance corporate brand consistency with local personality, while creating a fun, engaging environment that enhanced the customer journey and reinforced Habitat’s reputation as a modern homeware destination.
How did we create the success?
As a retail design agency with long-standing experience in guiding Habitat’s global identity, we collaborated with Mellet Architects to deliver a bold and cohesive store design.
Key strategic decisions included:
- Designing a striking black glass mosaic portal at the entrance to signify transition and create a sense of arrival
- Applying a sculptural ‘skin’ around the stairwell to visually connect the store’s basement levels and provide a calm architectural flow
- Transforming the basement architecture to align with Habitat’s evolving store concept principles
- Implementing a refreshed lighting strategy to define zones and create mood
- Preserving the 80/20 brand formula, blending 80% corporate identity with 20% local interpretation for authentic brand experience
These store design outcomes reinforced Habitat’s approachable yet premium aesthetic while elevating the in-store brand experience.
