Rebranding Beckworth for the Future
Beckworth Emporium - UK
What success did we aim to create?
Beckworth Emporium engaged us to lead a full retail brand transformation that would modernise its identity without losing the legacy that had earned customer loyalty for years. The aim was to strengthen brand integrity across all customer touchpoints, elevate the brand experience, and position the business for sustainable future growth.
How did we create the success?
As a strategic retail design agency, we began by identifying and defining Beckworth’s core values—local, independent, and experience-driven. Our process included:
- New Logo Development: A visually expressive identity using abstract and figurative forms, allowing each customer to connect their own story to the brand.
- Unified Visual Language: A bespoke typeface and a nature-inspired colour palette rooted in food and the outdoors, reinforcing Beckworth’s retail and dining heritage.
- Holistic Application: The new identity was applied across all customer-facing elements:
- Retail signage
- Restaurant menus and uniforms
- Website, social media and digital assets
- Packaging and bespoke gift branding
- Tone of Voice: We developed a fresh brand voice that focused on personal connection, ensuring consistency across marketing and customer communications.
What were the results?
Launched in May 2021 alongside the opening of The Restaurant in the Glasshouse, the rebrand was embraced by customers and staff alike. It unified all aspects of the business under a single, cohesive identity. The refreshed online presence drove customer engagement, and the elevated store design outcomes reinforced Beckworth’s position as a leading rural retail and dining destination.
”The new logo and branding is spot on. Great job – thank you.
