What success did we aim to create?
Mega Image, Romania’s largest supermarket chain, partnered with us to modernise its brand identity and create a flexible retail façade concept. The goal was to strengthen brand recognition, unify visual identity across various store formats, and align the parent brand with its extended portfolio while enhancing visibility and competitiveness across all locations.
How did we create the success?
As a specialist retail design agency, we focused on creating a scalable, future-proof solution that reflects both the strength and accessibility of the Mega Image brand.
Strategic design steps included:
- Brand Positioning: We elevated Mega Image as the ‘parent brand’ within its portfolio, aligning it visually with sub-brands such as Shop&Go, Fresh Bazar, and Mega Apetit.
- Unified Façade Concept: A bold signage system was created to “claim the building,” using Mega Image’s red and grey colours in a dynamic fade wrapping around the façade.
- Adaptable Design: The system was built for consistency across all store types—from small urban sites to large out-of-town concepts—while accommodating various building conditions.
- Customer-Centric Elements: Localised window graphics, directional signage, totems for parking, and an integrated welcome message were added to support navigation and brand experience.
- High-Quality Delivery: We partnered with specialist manufacturers to ensure precision in materials, finishes, and illumination—especially for 24-hour locations needing strong night-time visibility.
What were the results?
The new retail design concept has successfully repositioned Mega Image across all store formats and strengthened its presence throughout Romania. The brand now connects seamlessly with its sub-brands while achieving:
