What success did we aim to create?

Pomax, a leading Belgian home interiors brand, partnered with us to develop its first retail concept store in Knokke Heist. The goal was to transform the business from a successful wholesale operation into a commercially viable, customer-focused retail brand by creating a fully immersive, lifestyle-inspired shopping environment that reflects the warmth and quality of the Pomax product offering.

How did we create the success?

As a retail design agency, we built the House of Pomax concept to mimic the natural flow of a home and provide a seamless retail brand experience.

Key strategies included:

  • Home-Like Store Layout: Ground floor featured living and dining categories, while bedrooms and bathrooms were positioned upstairs to guide a natural customer journey.
  • Visual Merchandising Strategy: We developed display standards built on symmetry, colour blocking, and category zoning to highlight the 3,000+ product catalogue.
  • Custom Fixtures: New retail furniture was designed to support both aesthetic goals and operational efficiency.
  • Clarity and Navigation: Layouts were intuitive and customer-friendly, supporting relaxed exploration while maximising conversion.

What were the results?

The Knokke Heist store exceeded expectations on opening weekend, delivering record-breaking Sunday sales and setting a new benchmark for Pomax store performance. The concept successfully established a scalable retail model for future expansion and has enhanced customer engagement through clearly defined store design outcomes.
