The goal was to deliver a retail brand transformation that felt more like an inspiring lifestyle experience than a traditional garden centre—broadening appeal, increasing footfall, and making the horticultural area more accessible to novice and experienced customers alike.

As a leading retail design agency, we crafted a dual-focused solution, combining physical retail structures with a smart, emotionally driven communication strategy.
Key actions included:
- Designing bespoke horticultural structures, including service areas, shelving bays, and feature elements.
- Developing a clear customer journey, with routing and zoning that supported both impulse and planned purchasing
- Creating inclusive signage and messaging, using language and layout that appealed to novice gardeners while still informing experienced ones
- Introducing category and sub-category naming such as “Colour for Shade” to guide choices and reduce decision fatigue
- Applying consistent architectural detailing and finishes to reinforce the brand experience throughout the space
