What success did we aim to create?

We set out to help Public reposition itself from a leading tech and culture retailer into a one-stop destination for every part of its customers’ lives. Our goal was to create a scalable store design concept that seamlessly integrated home appliances into the Public brand, improved customer experience, and supported increased footfall and sales across its expanded store footprint.

As a strategic retail design agency, we developed a unified retail brand transformation for Public, focused on real-life customer behaviour and future-proof flexibility.

Our approach included:

  • Creating a modular concept for rollout across varying store sizes
  • Mapping a three-world store layout around Tech, Culture, and Home to mirror customer lifestyles
  • Designing customer-first journeys with intuitive routing and strategic adjacencies that drive cross-selling
  • Embedding service into experience, with individual help desks and a unified checkout zone
  • Delivering high-impact visual merchandising to express the expanded product offer without losing brand clarity

We aligned spatial planning and retail marketing strategy to give every customer a reason to explore and return.

What were the results?

  • Public’s new concept stores in Athens and Gerakas received top ratings in customer satisfaction and in-store experience
